Orange Themed Smash

As a Cake Smash | Kansas City, I love designing unique setups for my clients’ little ones. I recently had the pleasure of working with William, a sweet and chill baby boy who is about to turn one.

William’s birth story is one for the books. He came into the world fast and furious, with his dad catching him just like he did with his older sister. The family decided to wait on finding out the gender, and they were overjoyed when they met their little boy for the first time.

As William has grown, he has become more vocal and loves to babble and coo along with his mama and sister’s singing. He’s a big observer and learns by watching those around him. He’s fearless and determined, often doing things that aren’t necessarily safe, like walking up the slide instead of sliding down. But his strength and determination are impressive, and he’s always ready for a new challenge.

Cake Smash | Kansas City

For William’s Cake Smash | Kansas City session, his mom knew she wanted a simple white background but also wanted to incorporate oranges, like the fruit “Cuties.” I loved the idea and took on the challenge of designing a setup that was both simple and unique.

The final result was better than anyone could have imagined. William looked adorable in his simple outfit, surrounded by white balloons and slices of orange cutouts. He was all smiles as he dug into his cake, using his new chompers to take big bites.
