Located just minutes away from downtown Kansas City, in the charming Briarcliff and Riverside area. Susy's studio offers weekday morning sessions for newborn photography.
We recommend scheduling your session for a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday, to ensure the best availability. For optimal results, we suggest bringing in your little one between 3-10 days old. It's within this age that that they are the sleepiest and squishiest. However, we can still create stunning images with babies up to three weeks old.
To keep things simple and stress-free for new parents, we provide everything you need for the session, including props and accessories.
All you need to bring is your baby's source of milk and a pacifier.

PREPARING FOR THE SESSION
Prior to your session, Susy will carefully select colors, props, hats, bows, and other accessories based on your previous conversations or specific requests. The session will consist of a mix of bean bag poses and wrapped compositions, as well as various props. One of the best things about choosing Susy as your newborn photographer is that she has everything you need in her studio, so you don't have to worry about bringing anything.
The session typically lasts 2-3 hours, depending on your newborn's needs. Since we can't always predict when they will sleep or cry, Susy will take all the time necessary to soothe the baby and perfect each pose.

As a baby whisperer, Susy has a reputation for creating a calm and comfortable environment for newborns.
Once the session is over, Susy will promptly send you a link to review and select your favorite images. She will then polish each image to perfection, a process that usually takes around two weeks. During this time, Susy loves to post sneak peeks on social media to keep you updated and excited about your final gallery. Once your gallery is complete, Susy will send you a link via email for you to download your images.
