Love Story
Every Love Story has its own unique beginning, and Denise and Doug’s started in the digital age, thanks to Bumble. Their first date was at Brio, but it almost didn’t happen! Doug arrived 20 minutes late, and Denise feared she might be getting ghosted. The reason for his tardiness? He was at the gym trying to get a last-minute pump in (classic Doug, right?!). Luckily, everything turned out perfectly, and from that point on, their connection felt completely natural. As Denise put it, “We both just knew.”
Fast forward, and Doug planned a surprise proposal during what Denise thought was just a birthday getaway to Key West. With the beach as the backdrop, Doug popped the question the day before her 30th birthday. Now Denise gets to tell everyone she was engaged before she even turned 30—a fun little milestone! What a Love Story so far!
Wedding Day
Their wedding day was just as memorable and heartwarming as their story. One of the most special moments was the incorporation of a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony. It was the first event of the day, a beautiful nod to Denise’s heritage, blending culture and celebration seamlessly.
From the tea ceremony to the reception, every moment reflected the love and thoughtfulness these two share. Denise and Doug were an absolute joy to work with. It was truly a pleasure to witness their love and celebrate alongside them. I’m so excited to finally share more sneak peeks from their incredible day and can’t wait for them to see the full gallery this upcoming week!
Tips for Adding a Unique Twist to Your Wedding Photos
When planning your wedding, incorporating personal and cultural elements can make your day even more meaningful, and that should be reflected in your photos! Here are a few tips for working with your photographer to capture those special moments:
- Share Your Story: Let your photographer in on your journey—whether it’s how you met, your proposal story, or special traditions. This helps us understand what moments mean the most to you.
- Incorporate Traditions: Like Denise and Doug’s beautiful tea ceremony, including cultural or family traditions can add a rich, personal touch to your wedding album. Talk to your photographer about the significance of these moments so we can capture them thoughtfully.
- Plan for Candid Moments: Some of the best shots are the ones you don’t plan! Be open to spontaneity and trust your photographer to capture those unscripted, genuine emotions that make your day unique.
- Personalize Your Details: From the decor to the ceremony, think about ways you can include personal touches that tell your love story. These details make for some of the most meaningful and unique photos.
Remember, your photographer is there to help you tell your story. The more personal and authentic your day, the more unique your wedding album will be
