A Wedding at The Elms
I first met Amy back in 2015 when she interviewd me for her sister’s wedding. You could imagine how excited I was when she asked me to photograph her wedding at the Elms. It was more than an honor it was a privilege.
Amy & Zach had a different kind of wedding planning as life sometimes happens. It sneaks up on us and creates challenges. Though these two truly have true love. This was a test of their commitment to one another. During the planning of their wedding Zach’s lung failed and he was put into ICU. Amy was going back and forth from Kansas City to Michigan to be with him. I just have no idea how she held it together. So celebrating their Wedding Day at The Elms was an honor.
It was an exciting start of the day, as every detail was just perfect. The shoes, jewelry, hair & little Hazel. Hazel is Amy’s daughter and watching her excitement for the day simply reminded me of my own little girl. Zach sure does love her like his own and today they became ONE family!
Watching Hazel & Amy dance before getting dressed melted my heart. I love being apart of wedding days. It’s rewarding. Witnessing LOVE is lovely!!!! The elms was a perfect location for these two.
One of my favorite parts of the ceremony (even though I loved watching her father marry them) was the time capsule. They did this instead of a traditional unity. We all know how much I LOVE unique and personal moments of weddings.
Amy, Zach & Hazel have so many wonderful moments ahead of them. This was simply just the start. I love, LOVE and I love the love they have for one another. It’s so magical watching couples grow.
I hope you enjoy this blog post as much as I enjoyed being apart of Amy & Zach’s wedding at The Ems.
