Guess Who Is Two Months Old?
I still can’t believe what today marks two months old since this darling little lady came into our lives! She has brought so much joy and love to our hearts, and to say she’s spoiled is an understatement. Every day with her is a gift, and I find myself cherishing every smile and gaze.
Every morning, her big, beautiful eyes light up when she looks at me, as if I’m the only person in the world. That simple, innocent connection fills my heart with an indescribable warmth and joy. Watching her grow at two months and seeing her personality bloom has been the sweetest part of these early weeks.
Arya
It’s amazing how different siblings can be! Arya at two months is incredibly easygoing—a calm, content little soul who fills our home with peace. Her older brother, Dylan, had a very different approach to life at her age! Bath time, for example, is Arya’s favorite. She absolutely loves it, giggling and cooing with delight. Dylan, on the other hand, was never a fan. In fact, he still protests bath time to this day!
Another funny contrast between the two: Dylan never enjoyed the swing, but Arya would happily spend all her time there if she could. It’s incredible to witness how unique they are, each bringing their own special magic into our lives.
Loving my Children
My children are my world. They fill my days with happiness, laughter, and a love so deep it can’t be measured. These little moments, the everyday joys and surprises, are what I live for. Watching them grow is the greatest adventure, and I’m grateful for every second of it.
Fun Ways to Capture Milestones During Your Baby’s First Year at Home
The first year with your baby is filled with so many incredible moments—each one more precious than the last. Capturing these milestones is a wonderful way to preserve those fleeting memories. Here are some fun and creative ideas to document your baby’s first-year journey right from home:
1. Monthly Photo Sessions
Set up a simple backdrop to capture your baby’s growth each month. Use a plain blanket, a letter board, or cute monthly milestone stickers to mark each stage. Consider adding a favorite toy or a special stuffed animal in every picture to show how much your little one grows over time.
2. Themed Milestone Photos
Get creative with seasonal or holiday themes. Whether it’s a pumpkin patch setup for October or a snowy wonderland for December, these festive touches make milestone photos even more fun. Incorporating props like tiny costumes, seasonal flowers, or holiday decorations adds charm and personality.
3. Capture Everyday Moments
While posed photos are beautiful, don’t forget to document the candid moments, too! Snap pictures during bath time, playtime, or those quiet snuggles on the couch. The raw, unscripted moments often become the most treasured memories.
4. Create a Baby Hand and Footprint Memory
Take the time to create hand and footprint keepsakes. You can use non-toxic paint or clay kits to make lasting impressions. Pair them with photos of your baby’s tiny hands and feet for a sweet memento.
5. Firsts of Everything
Document all the “firsts”—from the first smile to the first tooth, and every milestone in between. A dedicated memory book or a custom photo album is a perfect place to keep these special moments. Be sure to jot down little notes about each milestone to accompany the pictures.
6. Sibling Moments
If you have older children, capturing their bond with the new baby is priceless. Photograph them reading together, holding hands, or sharing giggles. These interactions create a touching narrative of love and connection that will only deepen over time.
7. Recreate Your Own Baby Photos
If you have baby pictures of yourself or your partner, try recreating similar poses with your child. It’s a fun way to blend past and present, making a beautiful generational connection.
8. Milestone Videos
In addition to still photos, take short videos to capture your baby’s sounds and movements. Their coos, first words, and adorable wiggles are moments that photos can’t fully convey.
9. Monthly Growth Comparisons
Choose a specific outfit or prop, like a favorite blanket, to use in each monthly photo to highlight how much your baby changes over time. Watching their transformation from a tiny newborn to a playful one-year-old is pure magic.
10. Family Portraits
Don’t forget to step in front of the camera yourself! Regular family portraits, even simple ones taken at home, will show how your whole family grows together. Set up a tripod or ask a friend to help ensure you’re part of the memories, too.
Capturing milestones doesn’t have to be elaborate—the key is to embrace the everyday joy and wonder of your baby’s first year. These keepsakes will become treasures for a lifetime, and each snapshot tells the story of love, growth, and connection.
